We believe that every modern chip should have the suitable level of reliability throughout its life time.
IROC Technologies helps the semi-conductor industry to evaluate and manage reliability risks through the design and manufacturing flow, while keeping design, manufacturing, testing and qualification costs as low as possible.
With the introduction of deep submicron technologies in the semiconductor industry, chips are becoming more vulnerable to reliability-threatening effects. IROC Technologies provides chip designers with analysis software, services and expert advisors to improve a chip’s reliability and quality.
Reliability will inexorably decrease through the lifetime of the components and systems. IROC provides design services and IPs to mitigate the impact of external and internal perturbations, reducing significantly the risk of expensive recalls, time-to-volume slow-down, and product problems in the field.
IROC Technologies has been launched in 2000 as a spin-off of the French National Center for Scientific Research – CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique).
The wholly owned subsidiary IROC Technologies Corporation has been established in the USA in 2001.
IROC Technologies is a SME-sized company with a strong focus on R&D: more than half of IROC’s engineers are PhDs.
Headquarters, engineering, business development and EMEA support is in Grenoble, France; US & Asia market support in Mountain View, CA
Dan ALEXANDRESCU – Chief Executive Officer
Dan has been appointed as the CEO of IROC in February 2013.
Dan is one of the earliest IROC employees (September 2000). He accompanied the company through a long history of challenges and opportunities and his career evolution also reflects his personal development. From a R&D Engineer position to his previous role of Vice President of Engineering, Dan aligned the solutions, services and tools developed by the company to the needs of our partners and customers. He also managed IROC’s contribution to collaborative, international R&D projects. In his new CEO role, Dan prepares the organization for growth, technical excellency and leadership.
Dan holds a M. Eng. in Electronics from Politehnica Bucharest, Romania, a M.A.S. in Microelectronics from Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France and a Ph.D in Microelectronics from INPG, Grenoble Institute of Technology, France. Dan specializes in the design, optimization and improvement of highly-reliable microelectronic circuits and he is the author of many publications in the field of radiation-induced effects.
Adrian EVANS – General Manager of IROC’s US branch
Adrian worked for more than 10 years in the field of silicon reliability and 20 years in the design and validation of large networking ASICs. Adrian has extensive experience leading large multi-site engineering projects including adherence to strict engineering methodologies and standards. Adrian holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada and a PhD in Microelectronics from INP Grenoble, France.
Kader BELHADDAD – Chief Technical Officer
Kader Belhaddad served as Chief Executive Officer at IROC Technologies from November 2008 to January 2013, leading the company through a successful reorganizing and refocusing phase. As Chief Technical Officer, Kader continues his R&D duties, bringing 25 years of experience in research and engineering as well as in management operations. Prior to IROC, he was the founder of Integrated Systems Engineering France in 1996, and joined two years later the headquarters (ISE AG Switzerland), where he served as General Manager. There he managed all the operations for TCAD software development and support for semiconductor processes and devices simulation both for foundries and fabless companies worldwide. ISE was later acquired by Synopsys (SNPS). Kader started his carrier in 1984 at CNET( National Center for Telecommunications research, France) where he contributed to an exhaustive work on device characterization and optimization of CMOS process. In 1991, he joined ANACAD Electrical Engineering Software (France) where he served in various technical and managerial positions. In 1994, Kader founded SILVACO Data Systems France, specialized in Technology CAD. Kader holds a Ph.D in microelectronics engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France).
Cyrille BELTRANDO – VP Operations
Cyrille has 10 years of experience in SER testing, cumulating hundreds of various tested devices. The Soft Error Rate testing is a very challenging business operation in terms of planning, team and costs management. Cyrille’s strong sense of business optimization, from designing test strategy to execution and analysis allows IROC to offer a flexible and highly performant Accelerated Test Service to our customers. Over the years, Cyrille has built trust and confidence with a wide network of international neutron testing facilities and with many recurring customers, establishing IROC leadership in the field of SER testing. Cyrille holds a MS EE with honors in transmission systems.
